Jack Horner: says that Stigymoloch is a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus Also Jack Horner: says that Torosaurus is an adult triceratops, T. Rex is a scavenger and not an ambush hunter, etc.
17:18 HOLY SHIT, SHE CALLED IT A DEINONYCHUS! I’M SO HAPPY!!!!
Jack Horner’s weird hatred of Tyrannosaurus is just baffling
I remember watching the WatchMojo video. I remember thinking 'They'd better put the pronated wrists at number 1' and being VERY annoyed when they only mentioned it as a throw away in the Velociraptor section.
I promised
21:00 At least the males of extant mosquitos feed on nectar. So you could make an argument that InGen got the DNA of flowering plants the same way, they got the animals'.
You won’t know how much I will do to get a time machine and go back in time just to discover the truth about spinosaurus.
Perhaps the scientists of jurassic park actually just recovered dna from a dwarf dilophosaurus but didn’t realise
I always imagine some large dinosaurs stand on their back legs for a bit to scare off other animals to make themselves bigger.
Could a tornado destroy a skyscraper?
Problem with the T-Rex is that it was impossibly huge
Have fun in Washington, DC.
40:13 Yeah, the species of mosquito inside John Hammond's cane is an elephant mosquito, the largest species of mosquito and one of the few species that don't bite.
Red Raptor you can do this with the series prehistoric 2009 please
Great video!! In my opinion all so called Pteranodon in the JP/JW look off. Have a great holiday!!!!🎉
I'm surprised how competent this video is
I would like to point out that at the time there was only one spinosaurus skeleton and it was very heavily damaged so not much was known about the dinosaur at the time
The problem is that saltasaur was small technically but still should be larger in the series, since Dragonfly seeing how big his type of dinosaur is should still look like a puppy compared to them
For point number 3, I would say that the Meg was very huge, and would require a lot of food. As climate began to change, the Meg’s food began to die out or become less dispersed, and most other options were too small to make much of a bite out of a whale. Even if the Meg began evolving, remember that evolution takes millions of years, and the Meg just can’t evolve with the snap of a finger. With its food source reduced, the Meg would have died before it even began to make changes.
I would love to see your reaction on accurate Tyrannosaurus in the Jurassic franchise by Goji Center
Who said that allosaurus was a scavenger?
About the brachiosaurus standing on it's hind legs, I personally think brachiosaurus wouldn't be able to do that but there was a video of a rhino getting chased by 2 other rhinos and then that rhino that was getting chased tripped on its face then did aa little roll but got up safely. In computer analysis, it would say the rhino would die if it does that but the rhino didn't so maybe brachiosaurus could rear up on its hind legs.
Put a hand up if I should kill myself
✋
20:17 did he just call alligators mammals???? 20:54 hate to be that guy but you said emu wrong
My fav is Edmontosaurus annectens for me.
I hate watch mojo because it’s a lazy content farm that just posts like 5 videos a day on multiple channels
honestly watch mojo's stuff are all pure jokes, they have have idea what they are talking about and don't even know the difference between poisoinous and venomous
Yo!! Have fun on your trip! I lived in DC for a few years, it's beautiful and the Smithsonian is a _blast_
When you said about the Spino vs. T. rex, we need to grow up. I saw you crying. Could you elaborate on that? Need to know why you were so devastated by your percepted inaccuracy.
Prehistoric Planet is wonderful from beginning to end, and yes, it has an obligation to be as accurate as possible with the latest discoveries, after all it is a documentary. Now, a film from the Jurassic franchise (which is also spectacular) doesn't have this obligation, but of course, it's still very cool and incredible when they add more accuracy from time to time, like in Dominion, with lots of feathers.
I can never bring myself to trust WatchMojo these days.
Accurate Baryonix is a 100 times scarier. It's a giant scissors headed animal with a slender body and 2 hugh claws in it's hands
There was an interview with some of the behind the scenes crew and they mentioned the dilo we saw was a juvinile and they had plans of making a fill size one
“So malicious as to disregard its own safety” 😂 Didn’t stop Rexy tho! And I never knew that about T. rex! (Almost misspelled it just now) But it *does* make sense when you consider how every other scientific name works Edit: I never thought about that regarding the dino dung; dang thing looks bigger than the triceratops itself! Edit 2: Yeah I did wonder about the sharks, they’re endangered enough as is…
That reminded me a joke: "Spinosaurus was not able to walk and quetzalcoatlus was not able to fly. What's next? Marine reptiles were not able to swim?"
12:19 answer - 2 subspecies in cannon Nublar’s Variant isn’t prone to having so many carnivores and the ratio is 80 herbivores per 10 carnivores However, Sorna’s Variant has a much higher chance of being attacked so it had evolved to cope with the amount of carnivores over generations Atleast that’s the only point I could come up with
Both ecosystems are only a couple of decades old. There isn't going to be such drastic speciation in just a few stego generations.
Will you react to Goji Center’s video about five ways T.rex killed pray? 😈🦖
36:45 not bro tryna question ethics at jurassic park (there is none)
In the book, Alan made a comparison to frogs to explain the whole "vision based on movement thing", but he never said that it was because of frog DNA ^^ And yeah, he knew about that BEFORE knowing about the drog DNA ^^
Even the film makers fully admitted that Dilophosaurus was different, but they feared spectators would mistook them for Raptors, so they changed the design ^^
Wait, don't rhinos do something similar to "group pooping"?
The extinct plant DNA probably comes from the mosquitoes the same as the dinosaur DNA. Its usually just the females that drink blood, and some species don't drink blood at all and feed entirely on plants and nectar, so any mosquito they extract from would be more likely to carry plant DNA than animal DNA.
Love the black suit shirt.
14:05 I'm on camera of course! I gotta pose for it!
😮I'm in New York!!😮
For Mosasaurus, how the hell did they get a mosquito that had fed on one?
Mosquito-sized diving gear?
the nefarious mosquito with an affinity for water-based activities in question:
I have a possible explanation for the extinct flora being present in Jurassic Park. Because the JP universe has it that amber can preserve dino DNA, then it's possible some amber did contain plant material and the DNA was preserved.
If the makers of Jurassic World wanted to make their film's retcon regarding the dinosaur accuracy feel more respectful to the prior books'/films' intended accuracy, I would have preferred if the dialogue between Dr. Wu and Masrani scene was instead worded like this... Dr. Wu could tell Masrani that Jurassic Park may have strived for realism back when Hammond was in charge. The Park's first batch of clones were not only consistent with their knowledge at the time, but even surprised them in ways they never imagined. But Dr. Wu can claim he advised Hammond to let go of reality and just focus on entertainment, predicting that InGen's dinosaurs would become outdated, even in spite of Hammond's best efforts. Hammond continued to disagree, yet Wu's prediction came true. With the original dinosaur clones remaining popular, after science marched on, more investors have demanded that InGen double down on theme park spectacle, rather than continuing to seek reality like Hammond wanted. Hence, it became the first step towards demands for an Indominus Rex, and Wu complied. Though, it would still be a retcon, if InGen in the movies was also filling in the gaps with additional modern animals besides frogs (like in the original book and unlike the JP film) to make that exposition in Jurassic World sound more plausible. Also, as RRW pointed out before, it still would not excuse some of JW's dinosaurs becoming less accurate than their counterparts in JP.
